This page describes the Weedagama Foundation SMS program and how end users consent to receive text messages. It is published for customer care messaging compliance review (A2P 10DLC).

Program description

Weedagama Foundation uses SMS for **customer care and informational** messaging only. We send direct, conversational replies to people who contact us first — for example answers to questions, receipt confirmations, and follow-up messages about foundation programs, donations, applications, volunteering, or other topics the person raised with us.

We do **not** send unsolicited marketing SMS broadcasts.

How you opt in (Call to Action)

End users opt in through a **single, user-initiated path**:

1. The person contacts the Foundation (email, phone, in person, event, partner referral, or application) and asks for text-message assistance, or staff offers text as a convenient way to continue the conversation.

2. A Foundation staff member shares our **text-enabled phone number only through direct, private communication** — for example in a one-to-one email reply, printed event handout, partner referral, or staff conversation. **We do not publish our SMS phone number on this public website** to reduce spam and wrong-number contact.

3. Before or when sharing the number, the person receives the **required SMS disclosures** (program name, message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, STOP/HELP instructions, and links to our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms). See the example language below.

4. The person **sends the first text message** to our number. That first message is their consent to receive conversational SMS replies related to their inquiry.

5. We may reply with customer care messages while assisting them. Message frequency varies by conversation.

There is **no website form checkbox**, **no keyword opt-in**, and **no automatic enrollment**. We do not add phone numbers to an SMS list without an inbound message from that person.

Example disclosure language (staff email)

When staff share our text-enabled number by email, the message includes language substantially like this:

> **Weedagama Foundation — text messaging** > > You may text us at the number below for assistance with your inquiry. By sending the first text message, you agree to receive conversational SMS replies from Weedagama Foundation about your request. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. > > Privacy Policy: https://weedagama.org/page/privacy-policy > > SMS Terms: https://weedagama.org/page/sms-terms > > Program details: https://weedagama.org/page/sms-program

Example disclosure language (event or printed material)

Printed event or partner materials that include our text contact use substantially the same disclosures: program name (Weedagama Foundation), that the person must text us first, message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, STOP to opt out, HELP for help, and links to our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms.

Opt out and help

- **STOP** — End users may reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, OPTOUT) at any time to stop messages.

- **HELP** — End users may reply HELP or INFO for assistance, or email info@weedagama.org.
